100th birthday giant cupcake & cupcakes

It’s not everyday you get to make a cake for such an amazing milestone birthday so I was really excited to make this!

This is a lemon Madeira cake filled with lemon buttercream. The base is covered with white rolled fondant and the top is decorated with buttercream rose swirls, then finished off with handmade fondant roses and a birthday message.

The 10 accompanying cupcakes were also lemon cakes with lemon buttercream rose swirls and the handmade fondant decorations matched the decoration on the larger cupcake.
